Go Together brings together a diverse group of experts and organizations, each playing a crucial role in advancing cancer care in sub-Saharan Africa:
An important goal of Go Together is identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing individuals or groups who might be affected by, could influence the outcome of, or want to be involved with the development of the alliance.
Within the first months of implementation, the Secretariat Office will plan to perform a stakeholder analysis with various groups within the initial partner countries and among industries. This analysis will help to gain a comprehensive understanding of specific needs, priorities, and ongoing initiatives, as well as necessary resources to bridge existing inequities between nations in the region. These findings will be presented at the first meeting of the alliance members and will support the design and implementation of a key stakeholders’ engagement plan for the first four countries involved in Go Together.
Various experts with an interest in cancer health equity for sub-Saharan Africa will be involved in Go Together. This includes representatives from ministries of health, country implementation teams, pharmaceutical and other companies, nongovernmental organizations, professional societies and higher education, as well as industry experts, clinicians, patients, survivors, and caregivers.
